Dawn Bloom, Ph.D.
Dr. Dawn Bloom has over three decades of assessment and intervention experience in the area of attention disorders. Dr. Bloom attended the University of San Diego and later completed a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology (Alliant University) in 1993. She then moved to the Greater Kansas City area where she happily lives with her husband and two pet dogs. She is a licensed psychological service provider in both Kansas and Missouri.
Current professional interests include the study of improved diagnostic measures for attention and neurocognitive disorders, and mentorship of the next generation of outstanding mental health care providers.
She has participated in multiple research projects involving individuals with ADHD, learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders. She has provided numerous continuing education classes through the Johnson County Community College, as well as consultation and psychological evaluations for several Missouri school districts in the Greater Kansas City area.
Kimberly Hinman, Ph.D.
Dr. Kimberly Hinman is a licensed clinical psychologist in Missouri, New York, and a member of Psypact. She attended the State University of New York at Geneseo and later went on to receive her Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Columbia University in 2020. She now lives in Kansas City, Missouri with her family.
Throughout her training Dr. Hinman has focused on clinical psychological assessment. She conducts psychological assessments for adults to evaluate for the presence of attention deficit disorders, overall cognitive functioning, risk assessment, personality, and mood traits related to treatment planning.
Dr. Hinman has experience working with a diverse array of clinical presentations and has worked in a variety of treatment settings including state psychiatric hospitals, VA medical centers, community mental health clinics, college counseling centers, and private practice settings.
Rachael Ramirez, M.A.
Rachael received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Kansas City University and Bachelor’s Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Northern Arizona University. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Kansas City University and fulfilling requirements for her PsyD in Health Service Psychology. Dr. Bloom and Dr. Hinman provide direct supervision and oversight of Rachael’s clinical activities at ADCKC as she finishes up degree and license requirements.
Rachael loves being outdoors and participates in competitive frisbee. Along with her PsyD requirements, Rachael is pursuing advanced clinical training in ADHD and certification in poetry therapy. Her future studies will investigate the effects of poetry therapy interventions on the emotional well-being of our United States Veterans.

Cindy Barnes, M.A.
Cindy Barnes is our clinic manager and your primary point of contact.
She graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Communicative Disorders and Sciences and went on to receive her master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Wichita State University. As an American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) certified speech pathologist, she worked in a hospital rehabilitation setting for over 15 years.
Health and wellness has always been a passion for Cindy and after starting a family, Cindy began teaching fitness and yoga classes. She looks forward to helping individuals with attention disorders navigate the evaluation process.
